How I caught a cold….
Strange patterns surface when you observe yer life…
On Sunday, I stayed overnight at a cousin’s place, far away from where I live (basicallly, other end of the city)
- Monday, I returned home by bus, while my folks got back by bike….. My dad forgot to get my helmet..
- Tuesday, I requested my cousin to have my helmet dropped off at another cousin’s office, coz this second cousin lives close to my place and I could collect my helmet from her
- Tuesday my cousin unfortunately doesn’t go to office
- Wednesday, my cousin’s (the one who has my helmet) driver takes a week off, and hence she can’t leave it at my other cousin’s office
- All this while, I travel to office braving the chilly mornings (B’lore at 7.30 am is cooolllddd…)
- Thursday afternoon, I catch a cold. A bad one.
It’s almost like the illness had to come. Like there were numerous forces acting to make it happen. I knew for sure that travelling by bike every morning without a helmet is going to get me sick. I did have my jacket, but that wouldn’t suffice. I had to have my face covered. I knew I had to get my helmet back. And I kinda knew that something is going to stop me from getting it. This is not the first time I am noticing a pattern in the events that lead to me catching a cold.
Maybe it’s my imagination. But here I’m….blogging at 2.00 am…..unable to sleep…..feeling totally miserable….living out this nightmare called common cold……ideas for bio-warfare anyone?
